Link: “Running to Put San Quentin Behind Him”

Markelle Taylor recently ran the Boston Marathon; however, his first four marathons were completed during his time at San Quentin State Prison. Now on parole, he used his time in prison, especially his dedication to long-distance running under the San Quentin 1000 Mile Club, to turn his life around. In this New York Times article Taylor states: “Prison saved my life. It made me a better person.” Read more about his transformation here
