Congratulations to ER’s own Brittni Hutton for taking first place at Saturday’s Mt. Washington road race! (Four hours after the race, judges announced the photo-finish contest a tie, so Brittni shares the win with runner Heidi Caldwell.) “To finally have a great effort and race was a huge mental breakthrough and confidence boost for me,” Brittni told us. “My workouts have been going really well, but when it came to racing I’d have a difficult time executing the plan.” Brittni finished the race to the top of the east coast’s highest peak (6,288 feet) in 1:16:17. “I cannot thank Auto Road Race directors enough for having me and Brandon,” Brittni said, “and can’t wait to explore New Hampshire in Big Bertha, our home on wheels.” Up next for Brittni: The Stumptown 5k in Portland.
